Library

Fiber Artists, do you have a favorite book of DVD that should be in the library? Please send recommendations for library additions to me, and don’t forget, next time you are culling your book and DVD collection (on Fiber Arts), remember the Guild gladly takes donations. If the library can’t use the item, it goes to Ways & Means, so the Guild benefits, either way!

New additions to the Library include:

The Principles of Knitting by June Hemmons Hiatt. (Hardbound) Considered a classic, this is “the definitive book on knitting techniques, with valuable information for everyone from beginners to experienced knitters.”

Knitted Lace of Estonia by Nancy Bush. (Softbound). The author includes some of the oldest knitted artifacts and photographs from Museums along with her tips and advice on lace-knitting techniques and clear projects directions.

Knitted Lace by Susanna Lewis. The 91 motifs presented in this book were taken from a 19th century lace sampler in the Brooklyn Museum.

(All three of these books are donations from Bruce Zorn in memory of Karen.)
